Light painting at five degrees Fahrenheit

Built a light bar with some LED rope lights and some AA batteries (DIY later).  Very cheap, very cool.  Was going crazy with cabin fever from being inside for a week with a sinus infection after getting home from the Philippines and had to get out and do something.

Was very cold, very snowy, and very awkward to carry.  Going to make some modifications to the light bar and wait until it’s warmer and get some more!

Winter Rims & Tires

Alzor Wheels for my BMW 435i From ECS TuningDecided against fitting some winter tires on the 19″ stock wheels, so purchased a set of “Alzor” brand (just a cheap replica from overseas) 18×8″ Style 030 Wheels from ECS Tuning for $400 bucks.

Since the wheels are 18×8, I went with four 235/45R-18 Michelin X-Ice Xi3 XL – slightly larger than the OE recommendation (1%) but decided the extra width would help incase of any curb incidents.  The tires fit great, I’ll get a picture of that eventually. Continue reading
